Hollie's birthday shoe cake

March 2010: So if you've read our older posts, you'd remember looking at a photo of a pink shoe with a big crack along the sole. If you haven't seen it, well, guess what?!! Here's your chance... click here. ;D

Inspired by the pink shoe, we set off creating another one... but this time we wanted to do it properly. And so, Hollie's gumpaste shoe came into being.

Cake: white chocolate mudcake
Filling: french vanilla buttercream with fresh blueberries
Gumpaste details: the shoe, miniature rolled rosettes, shimmery spray balls

Lastly, we thought we'd end this post with a montage à la "before&after" shot :p
