January 2010 - The cupcake tower was for Melodie's dedication. We set our hearts on making gumpaste lambs! Very New Zealand-y, right? Plus, we thought Psalms 23 is a beautiful Bible verse for dedications. A few days later, we were told that Melodie's surname means, "God is my Shepherd". {heart!} Oh, how very fitting! =)
The cupcakes - at this point, we still don't have a reliable cupcake recipe so we used a banana-walnut muffin recipe instead. ;p
1st set - cupcakes with italian meringue buttercream and ribbon rosettes on top. What has flowers got to do with Psalms 23, you might ask. Nothing. But a baby girl's dedication cupcakes has just gotta have a flower element to it. ;D
2nd set - cupcakes with french vanilla buttercream and cute little gumpaste lambs on top. Now, that's Psalms 23!
